Thirteenth Night Concert

The Navy's Music Corps presents Agnes Auer. Since 1994, the Navy's music year has started the new year with an exuberant concert at Ystad's theatre. The new year 2024 is no exception and they have the soprano Agnes Auer on stage.

Agnes Auer has appeared in many operas and concerts. In the spring of 2023, she was a soloist in the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra in Bach's "Johannespassion" and others.
In the summer of 2023, she participated in the new premiere of the opera about Dan Andersson - Vildmarkspoeten.

After the pandemic, she has also had time to participate in the Royal Opera's production of "Ariadne auf Naxo" and Folkoperan's critically acclaimed "Ålevangeliet"


On his debut with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, Norrköping's newspapers wrote:

"Agnes Auer is responsible for some of the highlights of the evening. With her lyrical soprano, she shows empathy and variety. What a joy to listen to her wide register and honey-smooth voice as she calmly switches between widely different genres. You rarely hear a classically trained voice as good as possible with the musical genre's more expressive singing style, as in "Gabriella's song" performed in duet with the skilled Ellen Andersson, who stands for more jazzy entrances".



The Navy's Music Corps consists of 30 full-time professional musicians and is stationed in the world heritage city of Karlskrona. The music corps dates back to the 1680s, and has operated in an unbroken line ever since.



The Navy's Music Corps performs about 150 performances each year through participation in official state visits, royal audiences, high guards, band concerts, tattoos and concerts.

The music corps has extensive concert activities available to the public, where the repertoire spans a wide range of different wind music genres and is aimed at different target groups, all in order to meet a new audience.

With its long tradition and musical heritage, the Marine Music Corps is an important ambassador for the preservation and development of military music. The Music Corps has continuous collaboration with established conductors and soloists, and with its recognized high international level, the Marines Music Corps is today one of the leading ensembles of its kind in the world.
