Aunt fullness - different sides of the same thing

With her civil courage, "the Swedish aunt" marches into Kivik's Art Gallery together with her creator, the artist Susanna Arwin, starting for the art fair at Österlen. The last time the peaceful arm was on site in Skåne was at the attention-grabbing exhibition that Susanne had at Tomelilla art gallery in 2013.

Susanna herself will be there throughout the Easter weekend and on the opening days 29 & 30 March at 3:00 p.m., Susanna will hold a lecture about her art and will then be offered "aunt coffee" with coffee/bubbles and seven kinds of cakes.

For many years, Susanna has conveyed important social issues through her artistic expression, and her main symbol has become her figure "the Swedish aunt".
For Susanne, the "aunt" is a state where the inner qualities such as - security, fundamental simplicity, straightforwardness, civil courage, feet on the ground, and an unadorned "ordinariness" are the foundation. You could say that when you're an aunt, you're so ordinary that you become extraordinary..."

The exhibition presents works in bronze, glass, porcelain sculptures as well as paintings on own paper.
