The Medium is a thriller opera by the Italian-American composer Menotti.
The opera premiered in New York in 1946, and the following year, it was performed on Broadway. It became an immediate success and has been frequently performed ever since.
The most famous aria is "Monica’s Waltz," which has been recorded by various singers and is often performed in concerts.
