Reptile scouting at Stenshuvud

Reptile scouting at Stenshuvud
Stenshuvud is the only place in Scania where all six of our reptile species now occur. Easiest
to see are common snakes, vipers and sand lizards. Right now the snooks are slowly starting to round off
their mating season, while the vipers and sand lizards mostly bask in the sun waiting for amorous ones
activities in the month of May. We sneak around between Krivareboden and Jättens Gate to try
spy on them. Björn Lardner shows where they usually stay and tells about their lives and lives.
At times we walk over cobblestones that require a steady footing.
BRING coffee in a backpack and preferably binoculars with a short close range.
