Jerker Andersson - Domicile
Jerker Andersson (born 1966 in Falkenberg) is a photographer, picture editor, and mentor educated at the University of Gothenburg. His work has been exhibited in museums and art galleries both in Sweden and abroad.
In the exhibition Domicile - Hemvist, a series of black-and-white photographs of villas located in one of the many residential areas built during the building boom of the 1960s in Sweden is presented. In some cases, the houses are hidden behind overgrown bushes, while in others, they are depicted uniformly lined up along deserted residential streets. For Jerker Andersson, the images represent a revisit to both his childhood and a typical Swedish residential area of that era. The photographs were taken in Falkenberg between 2006 and 2016.
