I regret everything!

The artist Leif Eriksson was a central figure in Swedish conceptual art. Now Ystad's art museum presents I REGRET EVERYTHING!, the largest exhibition of Eriksson's art to date.

Provocations, humor and challenges of artistic authenticity were recurring themes in Eriksson's artistry. Through his publishing house Wedgepress & Cheese and his work with the extensive archive The Swedish Archive of Artists' Books (SAAB), Leif Eriksson became one of the pioneers of the art form artists' books, books made by artists.

It was in the 1970s that Eriksson seriously placed himself on the Swedish art scene with graphic works where he commented with appropriations and irony on the economic interests in the art market. For Leif Eriksson, art was in many ways free and no one could really claim exclusive rights to it. Many of his works are a questioning negotiation of copyright.

The curators for the exhibition are Thomas Millroth and Anders Kjaer.
